Project Description
Modern Garden Landscape in Sholver, Oldham
Our client wanted to update their rear landscape to enjoy the most of our summer months. Prior to the works commencing, the turfed landscape sloped downward from the back creating an uneven surface leaning towards to the flagged area at the rear entrance into the property.
We advised keeping a flagged area to open out onto before stepping up twice to create three separate areas. Before we could carry out any new installations, we had to remove the top soil and start to create an even surface. Once we had the space, we secured the perimeter, added sleepers to create different sections and installed drainage to eliminate polling towards to bottom of the garden.
Firstly, we installed a hard-wearing Italian Porcelain tiled area (perfect for garden furniture and bbq’s). The Italian Porcelain tiles, in our experience, are possibly one of the most difficult products to cut, so precision and attention has to be on point. Using the right tools with fresh blades and a keen eye is how we get the job done.
Further up we created a central pathway feature in the same matching tiles and complimented artificial grass either side, keeping maintenance low. Lastly, we installed composite decking at the rear with 4 pillars and a roof top finish it off.
